Moreover, the current nursing shortage has led to immense staffing issues and, in turn, high workloads. Despite this, the job remains one of the most secure, with a thriving competition among employers for qualified nurses.

Despite the challenges, nursing offers several advantages. Here are a few:

Employers are actively competing for qualified nurses, making it easier to negotiate better salaries and benefits. Flexible Work Options: A typical 12-hour shift schedule provides a good work-life balance for many. Additionally, overtime is often available, making it possible to earn well over the national average of $80,000 per year. Opportunities for Specialization: The healthcare industry offers various specializations and advancements. For instance, there are positions in home care, infusion services, and even administrative roles within hospitals.
