Lifes Wisdom: Embracing the Golden Years Over 70
Life's Wisdom: Embracing the Golden Years Over 70
As someone who has lived a life well-lived, I have come to realize that there is no age-specific 'greatness' that automatically comes with reaching seventy years or more. However, there are significant benefits and joys that come with these late years.
The Fu Stage of Life
Once you have reached a certain stage in life, a sense of freedom and liberation sets in. You no longer worry as much about what others think of you, and you can wear what you like without hesitation.
At this stage, you have the freedom to come and go as you please, and the ability to interact with the world on your terms. This is an important aspect of what makes life enjoyable in the later years.
A Sense of Purpose and Hope
For me, being 83 years old is a joy, especially as I have dedicated my life to Jesus and have worked diligently to live for Him. This has given my life a profound sense of purpose and hope, making every day rich and meaningful. If you have a similar belief or value, it can greatly enhance your life experience in your later years.
Improved Self-Expression
The best part of this stage in life is being able to express your opinions more freely and to be more authentic. At this age, you are no longer concerned about impressing others. Instead, your focus is on who you are as an individual and what you believe in. Surprisingly, you may find more caring and kindness in the world than you anticipated. Older people often receive help from younger generations, and this can bring a lot of joy and gratitude.
Bountiful Blessings and Experiences
Having grandchildren is undoubtedly the greatest blessing of all. They are the fruits of your labor and the joy you have brought into the world. Moreover, you can enjoy activities without needing to impress anyone, such as affordable ski passes at nearby resorts. These experiences bring immense satisfaction and contentment.
Less Concern, More Knowledge
One of the advantages of reaching this age is that many of the things that previously bothered you are no longer a source of stress. You have accumulated a wealth of life knowledge that is essential for navigating today's complex world. Furthermore, you are always learning new things, both from personal experiences and from the world around you. Appearance no longer matters as much, as long as you maintain a neat and presentable look.
Less Formalities, More Enjoyment
Another perk is that you no longer need to prove your age in various settings. For example, when you visit a liquor store or bar, you no longer need to show identification to prove that you are of legal drinking age. This is a delightful change and a sign of respect for the older generation.
In conclusion, while there may not be anything particularly 'great' about being over 70, the freedom, wisdom, purpose, and joy that come with these years more than make up for it. Embrace the golden years with gratitude and continue to find happiness in the simple joys of life.
